Carbon Fiber 5-Blade Swept Propellers

Continuing in the company’s tradition of applying state-of-the-art technology to the design of high-performance propellers, Raisbeck worked with Hartzell Propeller to bring Carbon Fiber Swept Blade Propellers to 200 and 300 series King Airs. Noticeably quieter, lighter in weight, damage resistant and commanding more power without added noise, Raisbeck’s Carbon Fiber 5-Blade Swept Propellers offer increased performance, strength and payload. Caron Fiber blades are manufactured with structural carbon fiber over a metal blade shank retention section and nickel cobalt leading edges for superior durability against FOD and improved erosion resistance to environmental conditions. Raisbeck’s Carbon Fiber 5-Blade Swept Propellers also offer operators reduced life cycle costs due to repairability of the blades and the ability to maintain their airfoil shape, resulting in longer blade life expectancy.

At the flare, when reducing power to idle, the braking/discing isn't as pronounced and abrupt.The performance is astronomical from takeoff to landing with these new Raisbeck propellers. It's like a new airplane!In four months, we've done somewhere around 140 hours onto a dirt strip or a sand strip. We've had some terrible conditions where we were in the middle of a sandstorm. Neither myself nor the other pilots can understand how little wear there is on the leading edges of those five-blades with the nickel leading edges. It's like they are brand new! The passengers, in particular, comment that it is quieter in the cabin—nice and quiet.Raisbeck’s Composite 5-Blade Swept Propellers deliver all the performance advertised and then some. Acceleration forces on takeoff feel remarkably sharper, and the climb rate is significantly greater. Deceleration on landing is astounding even without prop reverse. And single-engine performance is significantly better, while sound levels are much more pleasant with the new props.
