AERO AIR EXTENDS ITS LEARJET FLEET CAPABILITIES
WITH RAISBECK'S ZR LITE
Lower fuel burns, improved performance noted on Raisbeck-equipped 31s and 35s

January 10, 2012 — Seattle, Wash. — Aero Air LLC recently reported significant reductions in fuel consumption by its fleet of Raisbeck ZR LITE equipped Learjets after tracking the numbers for more than a year. ZR LITE averages 10%+ fuel savings on the company's Lear 35s, with similar results for their 31s.

“Reserve fuel is a critical issue on flights between Seattle and Juneau, Alaska, due to lack of reliable alternates,” said Greg Clausen, Aero Air's Director of Flight Operations. “OATs at altitude in Alaska are typically too warm to allow us to get much above FL390 with a basic 31. ZR LITE gets us into the 40s where we can take advantage of the winds and fuel savings up there.”

“The Lear 31 is a great airplane, but given its typical operating weight, it needs Raisbeck's mods to perform where we want it,” Clausen added. “Our pilots, to a man, enjoy ZR LITE's handling. Plus, maintenance loves Raisbeck for its exceptional customer and technical support.”

“Aero Air owns and operates seven Raisbeck-equipped aircraft and perform the installations of our systems, so they see both sides of the business,” said James Raisbeck, CEO of Raisbeck Engineering. “When Aero Air purchased three new Learjet 31s for air ambulance operations, they immediately installed ZR LITE on them—the business case to do so is that compelling.”

Aero Air LLC houses its four Learjet 31s, three Lear 35s and two King Air 200s at one of its Western US or Alaska bases, including the 75,000 square foot facility at Portland-Hillsboro Airport (HIO). The company also operates a full-service FBO, FAA Part 145 repair station, parts department, fuel sales, aircraft sales, aircraft management and charter services.
